Deployed

A simple yet efficient web interface for people with little or no prior computer knowledge to be able to access and review collected data from the Sri City Smart Weather Station in a format that is easy to comprehend and assess.

Traffic Sign Recognition

Traffic Sign Recognition with Multi-Scale Convolutional Networks

Experimental

A CNN designed to recognise 61 types of traffic signals in the BelgiumTS dataset. Done as part of Stanford’s CS231n Independent Study Project. Was able to acheive aroung 95% accuracy during testing.

Text Independent Writer Identification for Telugu Script using Directional Filter based Features

Research

Collected a dataset of 150 writers in Telugu script. Proposed new directional filter based features to generate junction distribution histograms. We were able to achieve 99% accuracy on our dataset. Paper accepted at ICDAR 2017.

Stroke Distribution for Writer Identification of Indic Scripts

Research

Proposed a novel method of stroke extraction and clustering from offline handwritten documents. Created an alphabet of strokes and used their distribution as new features for identification in Telugu and Kannada. Acheived 97% accuracy on a Telugu database of 150 writers and 100% accuracy on a Kannada database of 54 writers. Paper accepted at ACPR 2017.

Automatic Speaker Recognition using MFFC based features

The human voice conveys apart from speech various other information as well, this includes information such as gender, emotion and other features that help us to uniquely identify the identity of the person speaking. Speaker recognition is the process of extracting these unique features from an individual's voice and using them to match the voice with the speaker's identity.

Automatic Sound Location Robot

A demo project that was done in my first year of undergrad. We built a robot that could detect the location of sound in a given area and move towards the sound. The area where intensity of sound is the maximum is detected and the robot would move in that particular direction.

Finding Marlin

Hackathon Project

A game aimed at teaching binary search and the divide and conquer rule to children using popular cartoon characters Dory and Marlin from Finding Nemo. Done as part of the ACM Hackathon held at IIIT Sri City in October.

Research Intern - Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata (May 2017 - July 2017)

Worked on the project of Writer Identification in Indic Scripts: A Stroke Distribution Histogram Based Approach, with Dr. Umapada Pal and Dr. Alireza Alaei. Achieved good results and a paper has been accepted at ACPR 2017.

Google Summer of Code Intern - Python Software Foundation (May 2017- August 2017)

Worked on a project named Hydrus that included a smart server and client designed to demo the W3C Hydra Draft (part of GSOC 2017).

Worked on the project of Supervised Directional Filtering for Writer Identification in Telugu Script, with Dr. Umapada Pal. Collected a database of Telugu Handwriting scripts name the IIITS-THDB. Work has been accepted for publication at ICDAR 2017.

Worked on virtualization and automating system administration tasks. Setting up of DNS, multiple server management using Ansible and hands on experience in the labs of techsupport in IIITH was given so as to make us understand how things work in real world.
